During September, STEPS awarded over 30 businesses throughout Australia membership to the STEPS Equity Employer Group.

STEPS continue to work closely with the business sector throughout Queensland and Northern Territory, forging valuable partnerships that not only assist business to achieve their goals, but also to strengthen our communities. The STEPS Equity Employer Group started last year, seeking to give public recognition to organisations that consistently provide opportunities for people with disabilities. There are now well over 50 Equity Employers.

Coinciding with Disability Action Week, STEPS acknowledged new Equity Employers through newspaper and magazine advertising throughout Queensland, and Employer Engagement Representatives presented certificates in person to winners.
